Save America. VOTE! America simply can't survive four more years of Dubya and his handlers. America has become a shadowy reflection of it's former self already. Our allies have abandoned us. American citizens are being locked up without a Constitutionally garunteed trial. We've invaded a country that posed no threat to us under false pretenses. We've got American soldiers dying in a country they have no business being in. Our econemy is the worst it's been in 20 years. Unemployment is at an all-time high. And, still, people support the Bush administration. Why is this? Dubya has done a decent job of playing himself off as a hard workin' goold 'ol boy for the masses. Yet, even the most cursory investigation of his history reveals that nothing could be further from the truth. This is a man who went AWOL from his Air National Guard unit during the Vietnam war. This is a man who's run nearly every company his daddy handed him into the ground. This is a man who's more interested in the almighty dollar than the American public. This is a man who has no problem sending our troops off to Iraq while he takes vacation. This is a man who's drunk on power, and we are footing his bill. People criticize Kerry for protesting the Vietnam war. But how soon we forget how incredibly unpopular that war was. Kerry was not the only veteran who protested that war. But because he is running against the Reichpublican regime currently in office, he's the only one we remember. I ask those of you who support Bush, where was fearless leader during his service to his country in that era? Because he damn sure wasn't at his unit. Deriliction of duty. Not much has changed in Dubya's life since then, huh? He was absent then, and he's absent now. Oh, he's physically there in the Oval Office. But is he supporting the will of the American people? Is he carrying out his duties as Commander in Chief? Or has the last four years been nothing more than an abuse of power and station? Dubya demanded (DEMANDED!) that the CIA find ties between Iraq and Al Qeda after the 9/11 attacks. Yet when the CIA came to the White House saying that there were no ties, did Dubya listen? No. Instead he invaded Iraq, and finished up his daddie's war. Nope, no ties between Al Qeda and Iraq. But there sure were ties between Al Qeda and Saudi Arabia. A full 90% of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi nationals. But most of the American people don't know this fact. Why? What's the reason for the cover up? Ask Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia. And while you're at it, ask him how he got the nickname of "Bandar Bush." Ask him about our oil interests in Saudi. Ask him how George Herbert Walker Bush's visit to his palace was. Ask him how long he's had his hands in the pockets of Bush Republicans. And while you're out asking people questions, ask American citizens held in maximum security prisons why they're there. Ask them about the non-existant trials that sent them there. Ask them about their non-existant legal represtation that defended them during that non-existant trial. And if you really want a good laugh, ask them when their sentence is up and they'll be able to rejoin society. Ask the soldier in Bethesda Naval Hostipal how he's doing. Shake his hand (if he still has one), and tell him that we appreciate his dedication and hard work. Tell him we appreciate his sacrafice. Then ask him what he thinks of Bush's cuts of his combat pay and benefits while he was deployed. Ask how he did his job without the equipment and body armor he was supposed to have. The same equipment and body armor that Dubya didn't think he'd need, so didn't approve in his war budget. And since you're out, why not ask El Hefe himself some questions? Inquire where Osama bin Laden is. When Dubya says, "I don't know where he is. And I don't care," you might want to remind him that when our invasion of Afghanistan started, he was caught saying "finding Osama is our highest priority." Ask him what happened to the No Child Left Behind program. Ask him if the name got changed to No Billionaire Left Behind, because that's how it seems. Ask him why our public schools are underfunded, decrepit, and keep cranking out functionally illiterate "graduates." Ask him why he's the only president in history who has failed to create jobs while in the White House. I'm betting he'll just grin at you and mutter, "fool me once, shame on... shame on you. Fool me twice... not... not gonna... fool me again," while Secret Service officers escort you to your comfy new 8' x 10' home. And, despite all this people still support Bush. There was another group of people who locked up their critics, invaded countries under false pretenses, and lied to it's constituants. Ask your history teacher who they were. Mention the year 1939 to him. |
